Krassimira Belev is a Bulgarian actress, writer and producer based in Los Angeles and Sofia, Bulgaria. She studied Method Acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in LA and has a BA in Theatre and Performance from the University of Hull, UK.
For her performance in Once Upon a Time on Halloween directed by dir. Jaroslaw Gogolin, she won the Golden Galaxy Award for Best Actress from the Virgin Spring Cinefest in Kolkata, India and was nominated for Best Rising Star from Seoul Webfest in South Korea.
In 2020 she wrote and co-produced her first short film Undo, which got her nominations for Outstanding Leading Actress in a Short Film from the Nice International Film Festival (NIFF) and Best Actress at Seoul Webfest. The film took part in over 50 festivals worldwide and was competing in the Oscar category of the biggest international short film festival in Bulgaria, In the Palace.
Following the success of her short film, she wrote and co-produced her first feature film The Therapy in which she starred in. It has been internationally recognized at festivals across Europe and the United States, recently winning awards at both the 25th Santa Fe Film Festival and the 58th Houston International Film Festival. It was selected for screening at the Marché du Film during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where it was showcased on May 19th.
